Cops FOR kIDS

Cops for Kids Inc. Is a non-profit group led by the Versailles, KY Police Dept.  The organization includes the Versailles, Midway & Woodford County Emergency Services. These Emergency Services are; The Versailles Fire Dept,  Woodford County Ambulance Service, The Woodford count Detention Center, The Woodford County Sheriff's Office & The Woodford County Animal Control.

Personnel raise funds throughout he year in order t provide gifts to underprivileged children of Versailles, Midway & Woodford County at Christmas.  The organization also provides clothing, toys & school supplies to children who are victims of fire, flood or other natural disaster or tragedy on an as needed basis throughout the year. In 2014, over 200 children were served.

The Cops for Kids annual budget is $15,000 to $20,000 With Cops&Joggers  being one of the larges fundraisers. Cops for Kids also participates in a golf scramble in conjunction with Versailles Fire Dept, conducts collections at intersections, sponsors a car show and does other smaller activities a local events such as the Twilight Festival & the Midway Fall Festival.
